How much does training cost?
Right now, anyone who wants to book dog training in Edmonton with us pays nothing — hands-on training is free in exchange for permission to film sessions for our content library. When that program ends, in-person training moves to standard hourly rates. Video consultations — for owners outside Edmonton or who want expert input on a specific issue — will be $120 per hour. Do you take aggressive dogs?
Yes. Aggression cases are our specialty — most owners who book dog training in Edmonton with Theta K9 do so because other trainers either refused the case outright or weren’t equipped to handle the heavier work involved. What breeds do you train?
All of them. Our specialty is extra-large and giant breeds — Cane Corsos, Mastiffs, Great Danes, Rottweilers, working-line Shepherds and Malinois, anything in the 80-plus-pound range. But the same principles work on a Yorkie. The dog’s size doesn’t change the method, only the practical application.
What if I’m outside Edmonton?
In-person training covers Edmonton and the immediate surrounding communities — Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Leduc, and nearby areas. For owners further out, paid video consultations will be available once the in-person free program closes. Reach out and we’ll figure out what makes sense for your situation.
Do I have to be filmed?
For free training, yes — but only the dog needs to be on camera. Your face stays out of frame if you’d rather not be identified. Footage is used for educational content on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and similar platforms. If filming is a dealbreaker, paid training will be available shortly.
How quickly do behavior problems improve?
Depends on the dog, the owner, and the issue. Most owners see visible change in the first one or two sessions — but real, lasting change takes weeks of consistent work. We don’t sell quick fixes. The work that lasts is the work done properly the first time.
